In addition, Tehran said that it does not consider the Swiss humanitarian aid supply channel a sign of goodwill on the part of Washington.
DUBAI-Tehran will not hold bilateral talks with America, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
“Iran does not and will not conduct any bilateral negotiations with the American side, and this is our policy,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said at a news conference that was broadcast live on state television.
“[The Iranian authorities] emphasize that the Americans should return to the situation that took place before 2017, lift the unilateral sanctions that they imposed, and return to the negotiating table in the “5+1″ format, ” he added.
In addition, according to the Iranian News Agency ISNA, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said on Monday that the Swiss humanitarian channel is not a sign of goodwill on the part of the United States.
The US and Swiss governments announced last Thursday that a humanitarian channel for delivering food and medicine to Iran has begun trial operations to deliver Swiss goods to the country’s struggling population without violating US sanctions.
“This is a small step, and we thank the Swiss government for its efforts, but this channel is not at all a sign of American goodwill,” Zarif said, according to ISNA.
