84 out of 85 regions back changing Russias Constitution
President Putin visited polling station No. 2151 located on the premises of the Russian Academy of Sciences and took part in the nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
The Kremlin said nearly 78% of voters backed amending about 60% of the constitution because they Trusted Putin. The move will essentially put Putin in power for another 16 years until he runs 83-years-old.
Many protestors lined outside the polling station were Putin voted. Protestor are accusing the Kremlin of widespread voter fraud which has been dismissed. With the changes to the constitution, Putin will reign over Russia for two decades.
