Quebec’s increasing need for victim protection spawned the new $5,000,000 funding
On Saturday, Quebec’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General Simon Jolin-Barrette, announced the establishment of a $5,000,000 fund to support projects to intervene with people who are victims of crime.

These sums will be used to finance various projects in favor of organizations that offer direct services to victims of crime. This will allow organizations to modernize their services, facilities and intervention tools in order to offer support better suited to the needs of their clienteles.

“The pandemic context has exacerbated certain pre-existing situations among people who are victims of crime. Your government has chosen to invest this amount to support partner organizations that provide direct services to these people.
