The theme of the US Vice Presidential debate was Thank You for interrupting
There must be something in the water because just like Trump, Mike Pence ignored the Rules of Engagement at the first and only Vice Presidential debate.
Thank you, thank you Mr. Vice Pesident, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you Mr. Vice president. Mr. Vice President please please thank you, thank you Mr. Vice president thank you please, please Mr. Vice President, please, please.
Those were the words of the moderator Susan Page of last night’s Vice Presidential debate between Senator Kamala Harris and Mike Pence. It was an utter disgrace. Both candidates were briefed on the rules of the debate and just as Trump, Pence ignored it an interrupted the moderator from start to finish.
This time we cannot lay blame on Mike Pence as much as he deserves. The blame surely rests upon the Presidential Debate Committee. They should have cut the mic when Pence refused to abide by the rules.
The debate moderator lost control within the first few minutes of the debate and was never able to regain it. Mike Pence spoke over Kamala Harris and spoke over the moderator and went on and on and on and on.
There are two more scheduled presidential debates between President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden. If the issue is not reined in before the next debate, we can all but certainly expect the same nonsense and Interruption from the Republican candidate.
The Vice President was clearly outmatched and out debated by Senator Kamala Harris. While the senator provided facts about race relations, the coronavirus, and Roe v. Wade, Vice President Pence relied upon lies racistdog whistles and reiterated many of Trump’s fallacies such as,; President Trump has done more for the black community than any other president in history, Justice was served for Breonna Taylor.
The most interesting takeaway from the debate was that Mike Pence has no clue about race relations in the United States with the black community. Pence also stated he does not believe there is a problem with race relations between America and the black community.
The Vice President also indicated that the president is stacking the courts with Republican judges in the event they do not win the upcoming elections. The Vice President also noted that out of the 50 US appeals court justices that were appointed to the courts not one single member was a person from the African American community.
If the debate solidified anything, it would be that voting for Trump to hold the White House hostage for another term would be irresponsible and Reckless. Trump is the devil we know but the way Vice President Mike Pence spoke about the coronavirus should make every American afraid of the devil they don’t know.
