House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, silent on Qanon congresswoman’s conspiracy beliefs
“Democrats are choosing to raise the temperature by taking the unprecedented step to further their partisan power grab regarding the committee assignments of the other party,” McCarthy said.
Translation – I am Trumps bootlicking, spineless whipping boy that would rather bend the knee to a racist, ex president that ordered an insurrection on American soil then to stand up for myself, the American people and condemn conspiracy theories, racist rhetoric and talks about openly assassinating a US President and a college who is the leader of the House of Representatives.
With his abdication of duties and lack of leadership, McCarthy handed the keys of the crumbling Republican Party over to Qanon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene who Speaker Pelosi has referred to as the “Enemy within Congress”
Freshman US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was elected to Georgia’s 14th congressional district in the 2020 US general election. The rookie Congresswoman has been a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, Qanon, Stop the Steal, The NRA, Defunded Planned Parenthood, denying attacks on the Pentagon and classifying the multiple mass shooting throughout the United States as False Flags.
The election of Trump, the most openly racist, sexist, homophobic, lying far right president, normalized and gave legitimacy to the dozens of hate groups that were lurking in the weeds. Those hate groups under the order of the former president gave rise to the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol Building and spawned many disciples and non more heinous and dangerous then that of freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Greene pedals in conspiracy theories and lacks the decency and moral compass to represent anyone and does not deserve the honor to step foot in a building that stands for peace, unity and hope.
As of now, Greene still sits on two of the most important committees in Congress, the Budget Committee and Education. In both instances, she was appointed by Leader McCarthy and rather then condemning Greene’s actions publicly and ejecting her from congress, McCarthy did nothing. Instead, he left it up to Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to bring the matter to the floor and up and down vote.
As Republicans cower to find their voices and sense of right and wrong in a post Trump presidency, the Party continues to elevate hard right conspirators to the inner circle and wage war on those who still believe it traditional Republican values.
